On Thursday, August 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Toronto's Resilience Office will host a telephone town hall as a part of the development of Toronto's first ever Resilience Strategy. The town hall will explore the meaning of resilience in our everyday lives and what that means for Toronto.

Eternia, Toronto-based Hip-Hop artist, will host the telephone town hall and be joined by the following guests who will discuss how their work has shaped their understanding of resilience and how it affects the lives of Torontonians, as well as answer questions from the telephone participants:

Elliott Cappell, Chief Resilience Officer, City of Toronto

Merna, Toronto-based singer

Annalie Bonda, Executive Director, The Remix Project

Maria Rio, Toronto-based street photographer

A telephone town hall is a large scale conference call that allows people from various locations to call-in and participate in a town hall style meeting. Seventy-five thousand Torontonians have been randomly selected and invited to participate in the conversation.

The town hall is not limited to those invited and all Toronto residents are encouraged to participate by calling a special call-in number (1-877-229-8493, ID: 117564) or listening in online at http://Access.live/Toronto.
